As part of the ‘Cooking Well’ Series of cookery courses, our next course is dedicated to healthy weight loss and will be held on Saturday, Jan 18th 2014 from 10am – 4pm in Convent House, Convent Avenue, Blackrock Cork.

One of the over-riding problems why people do not maintain these resolutions as they go for quick, faddy diets that they cannot sustain due to choosing the wrong foods, feeling hungry, they find the foods/diet boring and hard work. Also many people choose diets and recipes that use ingredients which are hard to find and may take a long time to cook. The Cooking Well for Weight Loss Course will help dispel all the myths and hardships surrounding weight loss and will help you to achieve success in any dietary plan of your choosing through evidence based advice and healthy eating.

What the Course Involves

This is a one day course only and will involve the following:

  • Understanding Healthy Weight Management, Weight Loss and Reducing Cravings
  • Understanding the Low GI Diet & a copy of the Low GI Diet Book
  • Cookery Demonstration for Breakfast, Lunch. Evening Meal and Snack Options
  • Quick meals, with simple ingredients which are tasty and filling
  • Information Pack which includes recipes and workbooks, pedometer and calorie counter

Cost

Cost: 50 euros which includes light lunch and refreshments.
