I am a great advocate of the Low GI (Glycaemic Index) Diet. Over 15 years I have consistently used it in the management of people with both Type 1 & 2 Diabetes. I use the Low GI approach to target blood glucose levels two hours after eating, which has shown to have a significant impact on HbA1c levels.
I am consistently amazed at the amount of people who pay little or no heed to blood glucose levels after eating. By making a few simple changes to the diet to target these levels, results can be transformative for many people in how they manage their diabetes care.
Learn about these simple changes, the Low GI Diet and how it influences your HbA1c levels at Self-Managing Your Diabetes Seminar on Tuesday 25th November 2014 at 7pm which is hosted by Diabetes Insight & Diabetes T1 Ireland, at the Westgrove Hotel, Clane, Co. Kildare. Information stands and free goodie bags are available on the night. Helena will be also available to speak to people privately prior to seminar at their request.
