Not many of you might realise that I live and care for someone who has Type 2 Diabetes on 4-5 insulin injections a day. So as well as working in diabetes, studying & researching diabetes, I go home and live alongside it everyday.
Diabetes Insight will be hosting a seminar titled ‘Self-Managing Your Diabetes: What You Need to Know’ on the 25th of November 2014 at 7pm, in the Westgrove Hotel, Clane, Co. Kildare and I will be sharing stories, practical tips and experiences spanning over 15 years in how we have come to live & manage diabetes at home, I won’t say always successfully, but as in the words of Sir Steven Redgrave, ‘diabetes lives with me, I don’t live with diabetes’.
I hope you will join me for what will be an informative meeting. I am available to speak to people privately prior to the seminar, please contact me on (086) 1739287 for further details. Tickets cost 10 euros and can be bought online here
